| After parking at the Forrest Service parking lot, the equipment was loaded on John's motorized wheelbarrow. It was large enough to set a 4" dredge on and it provided the hauling power. It took 2 prospectors to steady the equipment, 1 on each side, and 1 to drive it but no one had to carry any of the heavy equipment. This is at the end of the wheelbarrow road. The really hard work starts here. All of the equipment was hand carried from here. The river is down on the right hand side of the picture. |
