Last-minute EPA policy change angers Supreme Court

A last-minute and unexpected change in government rules over a key environmental dispute prompted uncertainty and consternation at the Supreme Court on Monday, with justices chastising the Obama administration over its policy tactics.

Final rules issued by the Environmental Protection Agency on Friday exempted logging road runoff from storm water permit requirements, saying timber firms may continue to use "best management practices" that suit local conditions.

The change came just ahead of Monday's oral arguments on one of two cases this week dealing with the financial and health effects of storm water drainage.

"Maybe in the future you could let us know when something as definite as that comes" at the last minute, Chief Justice John Roberts told the Justice Department's lawyer

hopefully the small scale miners can get before this judge if-n-when they get to court. looks like o's cabinet has pzzed off the Supream Court Judges! maybe now we can get something done!

Around and around it goes. Each and every road ever built increases runoff over 30% be it logger/feds/county/city. Loggers have made more roads X 1,000 than any other entity in the USA. The CCC after WW2 utilized these very same roads to build access to the national forests upon which miners depend for access and regress to their claims. And you want the EPA to close them all??? AND fine them for maintaining them for you to use to gain access to mine,ride atv,hike,fish and ride horses on??? Conversely-----definately increases siltation --yes, looks pretty ugly---yes---the EPA will initiate ungodly draconian rules NOT only on the loggers but ALL who try to maintain their roads to access their claims,private property and recreation areas out in the boonies. YA'ALL WANT MO'BIG BROTHERS NOSE UPN' YOUR ANUS MORE??? Be careful what ya ask for in haste as you will cry forevermore in your leisure as that's all that will be left,sittn' on your butt because ALL the forests are closed,no wood for houses,plywood,no truck builders,no MINERS digging for the minerals to make all the tools NOT bought,no tire makers,no cloth makers--oh ya that's right,do ya LOVE the check a month club 'cause ya can't make a livn' anymore???? check a month club will stop working too. the guys that depend on the woods to make a living will not be spending the cash in taxes. once you have all of your tax bace trying to get that golden check your out of funds.
